Ryder is One

Our little Ryder William or Ryder Willie or Rydie Wills or Ryde
(I have lots of sweet names for this boy) turned ONE this month
on the 9th. Can you believe it?
We celebrated on the 18th with family
and a Very Hungry Caterpillar
Ryder,
I have loved watching you grow this past year from a very peaceful
baby to a laid back and very affectionate little boy.
I am so thankful that I get to be your Mama
and we are all looking forward to a crazy year of
walking, talking, learning, and cuddling.
xoxo, Mommy Jessica

Sometimes we disagree. Can you believe it?

This is what an argument with a 4 year old looks like.
I do this about 20 times a day.
I don't even remember what this particular disagreement was over
but it was very important to her
and she was not the least bit amused that I was taking her picture
and giggling during it.
Anyone else feel like their preschooler fights with them more than a teenager?

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo

Back in the last week of January Ella and I went with my cousin Courtney
and her daughter Landrey to Disney World. The girls are just a few weeks
apart and the best of friends, and the last time Courtney and I went was together
when we were close to their ages.
We ate breakfast in the airport and then anxiously awaited our flight.
Flying was part of the excitement too, as this was both of their first time on a plane.
Ella colored and then took a nap, but not before commenting
on how cool it was to be in the clouds.
We arrived in Orlando early enough on Saturday to fit lots in
and get a good rest before our first day at the parks.
When the bus dropped us off at our hotel, there was a skywriter above
the Disney grounds Writing "Love God"
"U + God = :)"
and then "Jesus Saves"
So cool and what a great start to our vacation.
Rainforest Cafe for Lunch
The wonderful thing about Tiggers is Tiggers are wonderful things.
A little race car driving
Lunch in Cinderella's Castle with all the princesses.
The carousels were a hit.
Princesses for a day courtesy of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
and their team of Fairy Godmothers
Hollywood studios didn't have as much for their age as we had hoped
but we still made the best of it and even got to hang out with Phineas and Ferb.
Yay, they are MY favorite.
We chose Tinkerbell face paint one day,
and rockstar faces the next
We stayed at the Pop Century which was loaded with lots
of pop culture decor and huge statues that the kids had no interest in
but the moms thought were pretty cool.
We took lots of breaks for sweet indulgences and taking in the amazing Florida weather and scenery
And jumping on the bed? Of course we were on vacation after all.
This was Ella's ultimate. She got to meet Cinderella
twice during our stay. Cinderella is her favorite.
She says it because she has her Grandma Cindy's name and
her name together. She will say "Grandma, your the Cinde part and I'm the Rella part."
We did so much and met so many amazing characters that I could
never list it all, but we will never forget and can't wait to go back.

I ♥ Valentine's Day

We (the kids and I) just love Valentine's Day (not so sure Brandon is all that into it).
I just love that there is a day dedicated to sprinkling a few extra hugs, kisses, and lovey notes around our home. Extra treats for the kids and husband and one more excuse for me to craft is a win win.
Ella is so excited about delivering all her valentines
and wearing her ♥ day shirt. Even Rydie gets to sport a little Spiderman love today.
Their V-Day pouches were waiting when they woke up.
I even got the hubby a custom card with his head on a hunky
superhero body wearing heart boxers, but he might blush a little if I posted it.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!
